Born & raised in Palestine and currently based in Brussels, SAWT, finds inspiration in raw field recordings and deep research to develop a unique signature sound. Immersing himself in the dance floors of underground Brussels sparked his desire to create music in early 2015, leading to his first official release, “Music for Checkpoints” in 2016. His music is characterized by analog basslines, minimal textures, and bouncy kicks, to unfold a story throughout his productions.

Exploring the realms of Techno, Ambient, and Experimental music, SAWT—Arabic for "sound"—seeks to dissolve the boundaries between the genres and aims to discover a sonic range where they intertwine harmoniously. For Cookie Mix #079, SAWT was inspired to mix atmospheric sounds and subtly blend them beneath speedy, punchy, and unwavering rhythmic patterns.
