Josh Watkins is a Brooklyn, NY based DJ and co-founder of DIY party series and event space, The Hole; a project that aims to preserve space in New York City for people to dance that’s free from the distortion of commodification and profit.

Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, Josh draws inspiration from the raw post-industrial landscapes of the Rust Belt, which translates into his musical focus on texture and emotion, rather than any specific genre. His childhood has influenced him not only musically, but also in all other aspects of his life. Growing up seeing the plight of capital abandonment and atomization it caused has moved him to work to create collective spaces of liberation on and off the dance floor.
