OUR POETIC INSPIRATION

The poetic inspiration behind our fundamental concept stems from the African-American Boy Scout Movement that emerged one year after the establishment of one of the most mainstream organizations known to us today as the Boy Scouts of America.

The BSA formed in 1910, catering solely to white youth, excluding Black troops along with other racial minorities, immigrants, rural low-income, and kids with disabilities from joining the BSA troops. In response to the racial discrimination and creed, the first African-American Boy Scout Troop established in North Carolina to salvage its morally vigorous and virtuous code of ethics by turning the opposing organization on its head.

To be a Rave Scout, one must be inclusive of all inhabitants of our realm - regardless of one’s ethnic background, social status, disabilities, gender, or sexuality. We are a collective of ravers who want to support and propel each other forward.
